Shame on you, Filipino media: Apathy

The downward of my homeland continues. What supposed to be a country full of patriots is becoming a country full of crap entertainers all in the name of adultery, drugs, illegal markets and things something I hate from the bottom of my heart: Apathy.

Instead of getting back some of the islands in the Philippine held Spratlys or fixing everything, the media showed us three youths becoming the symbol of false love and victimizing bad people.

Being a nationalist, got to hate these Aldub and Pastillas girl thing in the Filipino media because nothing good will happen. It will just teach youths illicit relationships and to be worse among everyone. How can we teach kids something good if the main topics on television is becoming a slut or taking revenge on someone who did bad?!?!

I'm so sick of these apathy made by both GMA and ABS-CBN all in the name of money and anti-nationalistic paradigm!

Most Filipino unPatriotic and anti-nationalists

Sad to say, my country's road to destruction continues. Selling the islands to China, not modernizing the military, stagnant economy and the poor deprived of free education. Here's the thing though. Where are the people deemed as nationalists? You can't see their faces on mainstream media. You can't guess if they are authentic or paid by corrupt politicians. Yes. Corrupt politicians. When you want to retain the uneducated people to barrios, you know what it means. They say the Philippines should be a liberal democracy but it doesn't work on a country that lacks discipline. People that would say these things are being cut off by the mainstream media as hillarious or absurd.

But you can see on Facebook pages about the truth or in the internet what truly happened and what is the obvious lie we weren't shown.

It is like you were promised liberalization of the economy in exchange for your beliefs. What happens next is when you have the economic "gains", you would be charged with a lot of obvious fees that make your nationalistic feeling gone, in exchange for money.

With that said, Filipinos today replace their nationalist identity for fake economic promises, fame and anything else while displaying fake pride for the country.  That's the truth. When I was in the Philippines, I craved to watch Independence Day celebrations because it displays our heritage as Filipinos and that we are the most patriotic country in Asia. Many people around that time craved to see it as an act of true nationalism and patriotism.

Nowadays, people doesn't care about June 12. They care it is a holiday because they won't work or don't hve classes. Let's face it. Few people like me would show a hint of frustratiom when we see our country in shackles. It's sickening politicians fight among themselves than helping each other to modernize the country. The last time someone attempted to modernize the country is during Ferdinand Marcos's rule as president. Ever since, the oligarchs came back, destroying what Ferdy brought and the discipline and nationalist identity died with him.

People from my homeland wants to get out of the sinking ship than to hold on to broken promises. One of them is me, whom retains some love for my homeland as a nationalist but would not go back their unless everything would have a radical change for the good.

Moja Nacionalizam Definicija

When i was a kid, i am thought that patriotism and nationalism is one. Nothing wrong in the term called nationalism since it was to protect a country from any external influence or foreign interventions. Ya, no wonder i was a proud Filipinac back when i am a kid.

Fast-forward, i am hearing these news in CNN that ultranationalists in Ukrajina are killing the Russian minorities and Pro-Russian Ukranians in the sense of nationalism. Now i know why the Western media is depicting them as nationalists despite being a foreign trained mercenaries and dependent on dollars and Saudi oil, made possible by the dreadded National Endownment for Democracy.

For me, nationalism is a strong national policy of binding the state together through patriotism and unity in diversity. The main ethnic group and minorities functioning as one regardless of group, religion and internal political factionalism when it comes to internal stability and external freedom. That alone said, it is not foreign backed and neither communism nor fascism even democracy but by the will of the people for their common good as a one state.
