If I would have my own Holy Week Experience

If people would ask me what kind of Holy week i would prefer, my answer is simple. I would want to be in Jerusalim or Beograd for a number of reasons. 

First, when I was growing up I read about the holy places in Jerusalim. It is in he holy land. Not just within Jerusalim but in Bethlehem aka the birthplace of Jesus Christ, the sight of the Nativity. No Holy Week Vacation is complete without going to the Jordan river itself and also the Holy Sepulchre as both the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ happened here.

Second, I would prefer in Manastir Ravanica in Srbija. To people that didn't know Ravanica, it is located in Ćuprija, Pomoravlje province. I would have a holy week there and wants to learn more about my patron saint's life and miracles. 

There are also many choices i prefer but these would be the two places I want before i go to rest forever.

Ravanica

Ravanica (Serbian Cyrillic: Раваница) is a Serbian Orthodox monastery on Kučaj mountains near Ćuprija in Central Serbia. It was built in 1375–1377 as an endowment of prince Lazar of Serbia, who is buried there. The Ravanica church is called the birthplace of the new artistic movement "Morava school" because of architectural and artistic features. It is original blend of the Mount Athos and the cross-in-square five-domed model that became standard in the time of King Milutin.

I want to go here in the mere future with my future wife. It is one honor for me to visit here. Of course i choose the name Lazar when i would be baptized in the future. I saw in this saint that he desired a heavenly kingdom than an earthly one. No one can make that desire but in our small ways, we can.

For example, i desire to have a heavenly family and even if i am not that of an angel, i will make that promise of teaching my wife and children what a true and happy family would mean. I may be idealistic but no one can deny this heavenly promise. It makes me think more of my desire to achieve what God really taught us. Humans do make mistakes but those who desire a happy family and a true Christian one would mean God is with us through every hardships we experienced.

The relics of Sv. Lazar glowed green before the great floods

I saw on facebook an entry about the relics of Saint Prince Lazar's headless relics that it glowed green before the day that disastrous floods happened. Stored in Ravanica, the relics were kept in exception to World War II and returned after the war.

I chose him as my patron saint because of his strong will and resilient attitude. It is somehow a blessing i knew his story so well that, i wished to awaken the Serbian identity in the Serbs. If there was a Filipino saint king, i would invoke his intercession.

This was probably a warning or there is a near evil. Either the Ukrainian unrest or Conchita Wurst winning or world poverty, his relics's miracle was a wake up call to us. Like the crying icons before Srbija was bombed by the evil NATO forces.

This is what we need to do. Simple as is. We need to return to God and pray more and more until God comes back for us. While we wait, let's live our life to the fullest.
