Ravanica

Ravanica (Serbian Cyrillic: Раваница) is a Serbian Orthodox monastery on Kučaj mountains near Ćuprija in Central Serbia. It was built in 1375–1377 as an endowment of prince Lazar of Serbia, who is buried there. The Ravanica church is called the birthplace of the new artistic movement "Morava school" because of architectural and artistic features. It is original blend of the Mount Athos and the cross-in-square five-domed model that became standard in the time of King Milutin.

I want to go here in the mere future with my future wife. It is one honor for me to visit here. Of course i choose the name Lazar when i would be baptized in the future. I saw in this saint that he desired a heavenly kingdom than an earthly one. No one can make that desire but in our small ways, we can.

For example, i desire to have a heavenly family and even if i am not that of an angel, i will make that promise of teaching my wife and children what a true and happy family would mean. I may be idealistic but no one can deny this heavenly promise. It makes me think more of my desire to achieve what God really taught us. Humans do make mistakes but those who desire a happy family and a true Christian one would mean God is with us through every hardships we experienced.

The world turning a blind eye on Christians

Why would i made this article at first glance? Not just for the countries i will mention but for those who cannot practice their faith in the fullest. I want to do this article a lot of times, maybe the time is now.

Serbia(Kosovo)

The Serbs are continuing to have their churches destroyed or desecrated since 1999. The worst of all that was started by American imperialism and Eastward expansion cost the churches and monasteries that existed even before Christopher Columbus discovered America. It survived Turkish invasions and Two World Wars but could not survive Albanian expansionism and American Eastward Expansion. Serbs expelled, houses burned or sold and cemeteries desecrated, is this what they are paying for being Europe's gatekeepers?

Syria

Barrack Hussein Obama is so responsible for this. Churches being destroyed by the Fake Syrian Army affiliated with Al-Qaeda and destroying Syria from within. Secular government under attack by Western backed Sunni extremists. The world doesn't know what they are into since America gave the rebels tons of money and weaponry that resulted into failure. Of course.

Egypt

It may not be new but the world hasn't stopped the persecution of Copts. They survived a lot but since the late 90's, much worse happened. Not to mention the Kosheh massacre, Nag Hammadi and the All Saints Church bombings along with the Maspero Massacre are just big examples that the world has not seen this horror. Judging from what a relative of a martyr of Alexandria told me, the government is doing little to protect the rights of the Copts. Now i know how it feels to lose a loved one because of a blind eye.

Iraq

Not to mention the murders and intrusions by extremists in Iraq's Christians since the American led invasion in 2003, it has blown into full scale since the ISIS invasion of 80% of Iraq. Mosul Christians fleed for they were given a 24 hour ultimatum to flee or pay the price. Countless Christian churches that existed for thousand years were destroyed by the ISIS. Were's the world's army when they need to take action?

Why faith is important this days? It is because our life is totally nothing without our faith. Many people has everything. Money, fame but they are not great persons even to everyone. I don't know why a lot of people are not attending churches or praying or even believe in God. I am not confused but enraged on those forces that are called anti-religious.

You may not read all the bible passages but you must understand what religious teaching you will receive/learn because it will define your whole life.

Changing your faith is optional or if you truly feel your faith will improve but it is on your heart how you will become a religious man. For myself, i am still waitig for that day. The day i will experience how God gave me the keys to his one true church, i will value it as irrefutable, priceless and my lifetime contract. In business, we have a short term contract. With God, it is a lifetime. With faith on our hands, nothing is impossible. 

If there is one thing i can show everyone how i would become a true Christian, it is on my actions and not just my mind. Deep down inside, my faith is what keeping me more to fight for my life and my future family.

The importance of relics

As i start this entry, i was thinking more about what are relics? I known them in a while but this is my true chance to share my thoughts about it.

This ia from the Wikipedia article to summarize about relics:

A strong element in favor of glorification can be the perceived "miraculous" condition of physical remains (relics), although that alone is not considered sufficient. In some Orthodox countries it is the custom to re-use graves after three to five years due to limited space. Bones are respectfully washed and placed in an ossuary, often with the person's name written on the skull. Occasionally when a body is exhumed something believed to be miraculous occurs to reveal the person's sainthood. There have been numerous occurrences where the exhumed bones are said to suddenly give off a wonderful fragrance, like flowers; or sometimes the body is said to be found incorrupt despite having not been embalmed (traditionally the Orthodox do not embalm the dead) and having been buried for three years.

For the Orthodox, body and soul both comprise the person, and in the end, body and soul will be reunited; therefore, the body of a saint shares in the holiness of the soul of the saint.

Orthodox venerate saints and ask for their prayers, and consider them brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. Saints are venerated and loved and asked to intercede for salvation, but they are not given the worship accorded to God, because their holiness is believed to come from God. In fact, anyone who worships a saint, relics, or icons is to be excommunicated. As a general rule onlyclergy will touch relics in order to move them or carry them in procession; however, inveneration the faithful will kiss the relic to show love and respect toward the saint. Every altar in every Orthodox church contains relics, usually of a martyr. The Church building interiors are covered with the icons of saints.

In one part of the stanzas, there is no EMBALMING to be performed. Strictly. And it should not be worshiped. They are asked for their intercession for our salvation. I wish one day that, i may go to Ravanica, where the relics of my future patron saint, Saint Prince Lazar's headless incorruptible remains are continually reposing and a source of miracles by God for the people to know what we should do while we have life.

Everytime that, something bad happens, some of the relics will make some miracle, like glowing of Saint Prince Lazar before the Balkan flooding of 2014 and others. It means we should return to God's way and not of anti-religious way. It is clear for us who believe in God that, miracles will happen anytime as long as we believe.

Eastern and Oriental Orthodox Unity is much better to realize

Ya, it doesn't make sense to me why the Roman Catholic church is asking for unity. Would those who believe in the Orthodox church want that kind of scenario if that is on the basis of theology? If for everyone, it could. But for theological purposes, it will not.

I would raise the question now. Would it make sense if the Eastern and Oriental churches reunite and that they set aside their theological differences, territorial disputes and minor problems?

For me, I thought on that subject even years before. No political pun intended. What is that matter that makes this two seperated Orthodox groups to unite in the future? 

Belief-they have almost the same doctrines.

Religious identity-intact for almost a two thousand years without breaking what the apostles had taught them.

Social identity-Secularly, they are a much better citizen because what good we hoped is what most of them envisioned for the future generations.

Of course, this is just my idealism. But when these two Orthodox groups put an end to its division and truly unite as one, a beacon of hope would be felt on the other major Christian groups that all Christians would come back to the church of Peter, Paul and the rest of the apostles.
