Culture of Betrayal in my own country

I wonder why in Philippine History, a lot of people gave in or sold our divided country to multiple invaders(Spanish, British, American and Japanese). I read a lot a lot of history books in my home and now has invaded almost 60% of my brain storage. And this is what made me feel enraged. Deep down and will never forget.

During the Spanish times around when Manila was first under Spanish conquistadores, there were a group of conspirators trying to overthrow the government, led by Filipino Rajas. Unfortunatelty, someone betrayed them by being a spy and telling the authorities about the plan. Most of the conspirators were either hanged or exiled to Mexico where some of their descendants live although on an assimilated or farther generation. It wasn't known if during those times, the Makapagals of Pampanga were giving themselves to Spanish power. Note that, former Philippine president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo is from the said clan. Clan of traitors.

Next was the fate of General Antonio Luna. He was winning major victories against the American forces until one battle where the Kawit company(soldiers loyal to Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo) refused to send reinforcements. Enraged, Generalissimo Luna fired the Kawit company for regionalism and lack of nationalism resulting that would certainly lead to his own death by selfish Filipinos. The Kawit company(Aguinaldo doesn't have a certain knowledge of their plans) faked a letter from Aguinaldo, telling Luna to go to Cabanatuan church for a meeting. There, he saw traitors and selfsh people he fired for refusing orders and as a distraction happened, he was fired upon and being beaten up by punches and then, multiple bolo wounds got the best of him. As his aide, Francisco Roman went to his aid, he was fired upon and died. Luna crawls to the outside as his final words were "cowards, traitors". Before or after his death, the wealth of the infant republic went to his girlfriend who was a Cojuangco. They would be the family were Corazon Aquino and Current president NoyNoy Aquino would come. Hacienderos.

The Macabebes. They were from Pampanga and helped the Americans locate the escaping Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo. As he was invited to see "prisoners", one Filipino grabbed him and from nowhere, American soldiers held him at gunpoint. As he has no choice, he surrendered and pardoned by swearing to the American government. The clan had their own town in Pampanga with the name of their clan. Macabebe.

And then came some groups for example, MAKAPILI and small known conspirators that eventually made my country a regionalized confederation than a united Philippines. Everywhere i hear people and are proud of being Tagalogs, Bisayas, Muslims, Ilokanos, Bikolanos, Bulacenos and more instead of being FILIPINOS! If one man or a group of people that has my ideals can execute my ideals for my country, i would not go anywhere. If nothing change, i might stat here in Japan or get a naturalized Serbian citizenship to help the people overthrow the pro-western Government there that i am comparing to my own country and there, instill my changing views to awaken their national identity or go to Georgia and disappear from the public eye altogether. I want to be proud of Filipino heritage but with those mentality, i won't be!
